Counting down on the withdrawal of national structural design standards it seems very important to prepare properly the prospective engineers for the challenges of structural design by Eurocodes. Teaching the Eurocodes with its complexity and comprehensiveness it is inevitable to use demonstrative software tools in order to really understand and exploit the benefits and innovation offered by the Eurocode regulations.
Accordingly we are delighted to announce that collaboration has been started with several technical universities all over Europe. ConSteel delivers a prominent software tool for the spectacular demonstration of the structural design process of steel structures by Eurocodes from the comprehensive basics to the most innovative and complicated parts of the standards. Moreover ConSteel proved to be an efficient tool for specific research fields providing the practical implementation of the theoretical solutions.
Up to this date ConSteel is in use in the following universities:
- Aalto University School of Science and Technology - Helsinki, Finland
- University of Maribor - Maribor, Slovenia
- Budapest University of Technology and Economics - Budapest, Hungary
- Széchenyi István University - Győr, Hungary
- Szent István University Ybl Miklós College of Building - Budapest, Hungary
- Czech Technical University - Prague, Czech Republic
- Warsaw University of Technology - Warsaw, Poland
- RWTH Aachen University - Aachen, Germany
- Technical University of Cluj Napoca - Cluj Napoca, Romania
